For a person who isn't in the business, and has no idea what a pounce is, except for what my cats do to me at feeding time, I would like to say that this was just great. I'm sure Alexander would have loved to have had this in his office door. I hope you sign and date this thing. It must give you great satisfaction to see what nice work you can create. There are fewer and fewer people who would work to create something this good, even for money. It great to see what a person can accomplish. Thanks for the ride.

Well... I received a letter, from the folks at Sepp Leaf Products, assuring me of winning first place in a sign contest.

Sepp Leaf Products in conjunction with The Society of Gilders, held its 2006 Pride of Place Gallery competition, and I was the lucky skunk that won first place in the Gilded Signage catagory with the Hamilton Bank Note piece! Kinda made my day!

I was working on a little project, trying to remember how I once did a technique, then remembered it was all documented in my Hamilton Bank Note step-by-step. found the answer. I wish I had written down every step of every sign I've made, along with the mistakes and what worked and didn't. I'd have quite a reference book by now. Kinda like we all wished Rick had wrote it all down.

When it's time to gild...GILD! ...don't write!

I've written a few on this forum, so a few is better than none!
