Brush Come Back!

Post by Randy Lindahl »

I was approached by an old customer asking if I would letter his Destruction Derby Car. After not lettering for at least a decade or so... (other than in my dreams). I stumbled around a few minutes thinking about buying brushes and paint...(which both had hardened and thrown out)...I said 'sure, why not? So I was off and actually a little excited to get back to what it had taken so long to learn. To my amazement it was just like riding a Bicycle!..(of course it wasn't like backing up gold on glass or a tight roman).
I had a blast and thought I would ask if anyone has had a time when they stepped away from their quills for a while and came back to give it a try.

Here are a couple photos of the car...

Looks like you were a pretty good bike rider before you stopped! Tour de France???
I can't answer your question because I am new...
Nice work on the car though!
