Does anyone know what this font is called
This is a turn of the century font used for reverse guilded signs on a number of Parisian shops. I have searched all the font libraries I can find online and have had no success
Any ideas or suggestions as to where I might find answers. Many thanks-

Hi,
This font wont be found in a font library as it is a lettering in my opinion, but you will find very close ones in the circus old fonts. You should check the fonts from N.GLAISE. You will find in his Work some close ones too. A big influence for the parisian fronts.

Pierre is right, thats a signwriters hand,
It does bear some similarity to "Boston Ballpark" which is a hand made font.
Have a look here and maybe ask if they can replicate it, if they havnt already done so.

(I do like to check, I think this is one of Mike JAcksons sites. Presumably there's no problem posting this link Danny? )

Is a hand drawn type for sure...so no "font" unless someone has translated one....especially judging by the age. French (probably Paris) late 1900's for a Bakery. Thats the translation. If you have to build this there's certainly enough info there to make a complete typeface if you'd care to take the necessary time.
