Fixing a hole in glass

Post by Roderick Treece »

I sandblasted a small hole in this custom mirror I am doing.Thinking I had ruined the mirror I gave up for the day. The next day my wife came up with the idea to put a pearl in the hole. I masked the whole off on the front and blasted the hole just a bit smaller than the pearl. Glued the pearl in and then fill the rest of the shell with pearl dust.

Saved !!
Thank's to my wife!

easy, Treece, easy.

the first thing a glass blaster needs to learn is to take things easy.

perhaps your wife can teach you a few more things.
and he took that golden hair and made a sweater for baby bear.

Jerry,
I took a look at her ebay comments and the funny thing is, out of some 499 positive reviews she only had 1 negetive review. The one from you. That still doesn't explain it. Just go buy it from Aqua Blue Maui.

I gotta go my wife callin me.

Yep, pretty ingenious!
Now that we have seen a picture of the mirror hole, let's see a picture of the whole mirror. :)
I believe there is no shame in failure. Rather, the shame lies in the loss of all the things that might have been, but for the fear of failure.
