Re: Classes

Mike, I know the basics of silkscreening in general but do not know how to silkscreen on glass. There are companies out there that will make me the screens as long as I supply the art. My thing is production, I have some designs that I use a lot, right now I cut them out of vinyl and then I take the...

Re: Printing on glass

the answer is simple call a digital printing shop, I work with one as I do murals on canvas in my business and a good friend has a roland 64" solvent printer. Here is a pic of a mural that we printed about 2 weeks ago for a job. The images are unbelievable and if your image needs to be blown up...

Re: Static Electricity and Plotters

I got a drawing of the motherboard and internal grounding wires and I attached a coated copper wire to the internal screw where everything else was grounded and then ran that to the aluminum leg of my plotter stand. I can tell you that it took care of 100% of the problem and the machines cut perfect...

Re: Classes

Wow Dave, I would love to take a class from you. I was just talking to Sarah King today and you were part of the topic. Sarah told me today about Noel and I think that I am going to have to call him. Thanks and wish I could afford to come to the UK for classes.

Classes

Does anyone teach? I am going to keep asking until someone say where to take a class. I want to learn how to screen print on glass. Sarah King is a friend of mine and she agreed to show me how to glue chip next week but I really want to learn as much as I can to take my business to new heights. If y...

Re: vinyl mask for angel gilding and mirroring

Welcome, I too am new but I am not new to the silvering aspect, just the board. Avery Spray Mask is what I use. You would 100% clean the mirror prior to the addition of vinyl and once installed clean the open areas lightly. Do your angel gilding and then back it and allow to dry 24 hours. At that po...

1-shot paint question

I back almost all my antiqued mirror glass with rust-olium oil based paint (rolled on). So far I have never had a problem with it, but someone told me about 6 months ago about using 1shot insted. My question is (hopefully not too late) to gain my designs I apply vinyl to the back of the mirror rever...
