Re: Do we still call ourselves signmakers?

Roderick, .........like Tonysaid , Bill Blumberg and I have been using Fresh Start waterbased primer for a long time and have found it the best. As far as materials, I choose not to use much wood anymore ...used it for a long time, I love wood, but it's too labor intensive. For most of my painted/di...

Re: Peace Gold Leaf Workshop
Dave, could you explain the first photo of this series. It looks like he is placing a round piece of material (the 12k leaf ?) attached to a piece of taped show card (?) into the punty. Since the punty is mirror on front, it had to be water sized. Did you cut round pieces from a 12k leaf? It is amaz...

Hi Doug,
If not one shot (enamel).......with what ? I used to mix it 50/50 with all enamels for smalts adhesive
and sometimes with one shot paint as an extender. I now us holdfast smalt adhesive for smalts. But why not one shot ?...other than the growing list of why not to use one shot.

Pat, I never knew about using Henry's 108 for asphaltum. I have several gallons in my shop that I've used for flat roofing repair. I just checked with my local hardware and #108 has been replaced with #203. Went to Henry's website and called.......the rep said that #203 would be more fiberess, but #...
